Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good solution I bought this SSD to replace the 2.5" SATA II HDD in an old HP Pavilion laptop (c.2010). The SATA III standard is backward compatible with SATA II, though obviously the max data speed is limited to 3Gb/s. The (well packaged) drive was delivered within the notified hour slot - thank you Scan warehouse team and DPD. It was easy to install the SSD - all mounting points and fixings on the drive carrier matched exactly with the old HDD drive. As a performance comparison I loaded a clean install of Linux Mint 19.1 onto the old HDD and measured the boot up time: 53 seconds. With this SSD the time was 33 seconds - an 40% improvement. It's a good solution to keep an old laptop useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from cheap drive working well Low cost drive so far so good. . . My last SSD from Scan stopped suddenly . after about one year . . dead . . they can do that . so backup your files . . I do not blame Scan is any way for this . . they just sell the product.

I have a ssd with OS installed on it, I want to change the HDD to SSD is it easy to do? HDD is sata interface.
