Product Overview Netstor’s new 4U 24-bay 12Gbps SAS Expander JBOD enclosure is designed to support storage expansion with the 12Gbps PCIe 3.0 SAS RAID controller card. The NS385S-8028 is equipped with the latest 12Gbps SAS Expander supporting twenty-four 3.5” high-reliable SAS 6G/3Gbps or high-capacity SATA 6G/3Gbps HDDs through only one ease-of-connection high-bandwidth, up to 4800MB/s throughput, HD mini-SAS(SFF-8644) data cable for host connectivity, and provides extra two HD mini-SAS connectors to allow maximum 256 drives scalability of multiple NS385S-8028/NS390S-8028 SAS Expander enclosures for the most cost-effective mass capacity storage expansion.

The DataBolt™ Technology with Complete Storage Management
The NS385S-8028 is equipped with the new LSI DataBolt™ bandwidth optimizer technology designed to allow users to take advantage of the 12Gbps speeds while using current 6Gbps SAS/SATA HDDs.Through its DataBolt™ technology, the 4U 24-Bay storage intelligently aggregates, buffers 6G/3Gbps data and transfers it to host at 12Gbps speeds, delivering up to a 2x increase in throughput performance. Built with 24 removable drive trays, each tray is with power, activity and failure LED indicators for displaying the status of each drive.
