Choosing a monitor is not an easy decision to make, and not just because of the large number of variations in resolution, refresh rates, sizes and connectivity options. There are also varying panel technologies used to form each display that need to be considered. These panel technologies can be grouped into three broad categories which cover the vast majority of monitors sold in the consumer market.

NVIDIA G-Sync
NVIDIA G-Sync
Date Issued: 17th Dec 2013

G-SYNC works in a surprisingly simple way - it calculates how long the present frame takes to compute and then, crucially, varies the refresh rate of the monitor to match. It works between a minimum of 33.3ms (30fps) and the maximum supported refresh of the display. The key takeaway here is that the graphics card and monitor are both synced up to one another - the monitor doesn't have the limitations imposed by a rigid, fixed-rate scanning routine.

24" AOC G2460PG 144 Hz G-SYNC Gaming Display, DisplayPort, 1920x1080, 350cd.m2, 80M:1, 1ms, USB Hub is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gaming Monitor Moving from 60z to 144hz change my life. It will change yours too. Paired with G-Sync (your wasting time if you go with anything else) makes this machine a beast! 10/10 would make love to this monitor again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Monitor if you know what you're getting Amazing monitor, does exactly what it says and exactly what I wanted. I knew beforehand (as everybody should) that the colours weren't going to be great on this, as is the flaw with these types of monitors. Great service and great delivery from Scan

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed in picture quality Have used this for several weeks now and with several games, and I am that disappointed with the colour rendition that I have gone back to using full hd tv. Gsync, fast framerate, and fast response time all work well, but for me do not compensate for anaemic colours, particularly black. Have tried numerous settings but to no avail. Excellent service from Scan as usual.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AOC 144htz G-sync gaming monitor I bought this monitor for my son for Christmas. Myself as a non gamer can not tell the difference between this monitor and his old 60htz monitor but my son who is hardcore when it comes to games is absolutely over the moon with it. In his words " Dad it's absolutely brilliant and so smooth with no delay or tearing " .. Delivery was spot on , Scan were spot on and the monitor is spot on and my lad is made-up with it.. thanks Scan

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Seems refurbished to me The product is great, great picture and I got the in black friday sale. Only problem I have is the way Scan sent it; it was wrapped up or anything... it was just an open box so you could see what the product was, no protection for it during transit also there seal was broken and had a seal on top of that one so to me this product was used or a returned product and not new!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth its price This monitor is worth it if only because of 144Hz. The experience is amazing and you can't really go back to 60Hz afterwards. However, it's far from perfect and people need to be aware of its limitations. If you use it exclusively for gaming, sitting right in front of it, it'll be amazing. Viewing angles are terrible though and I say that as an user of some of the very first LCD panels. Next thing, flickering could be annoying. Gamma settings are not great either. I can't really comment on G-Sync at the moment, because I was very lucky with my previous monitors (minimal tearing) and I have quite powerful rig, so I didn't notice any difference yet. I bought it to play Overwatch and it's great for that purpose, but I easily get over 150FPS, so, as per above, don't really see G-Sync benefits. If you're looking for that 144Hz experience and have an nVidia card, but don't want to spend too much, it's a good choice. With the hindsight though, I'd buy a FreeSync/no adaptive sync monitor, to save some money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great 144hz monitor but the built in USB HUB can cause issues with windows 10 Its very good for the price and if you are getting a new graphics card its worth it to let it shine.

Can I play games in 3D

Can I play games in 3D by connecting my Nvidia 3D Vision 2 kit ? It doesn't say in the description or on the manufacturers website
Asked by: potbellieddwarf
From the bottom of the product's manufacturer page (http://us.aoc.com/monitor_displays/g2460pg): The G2460PG is both NVIDIA 3D Vision and NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 Ready so you can transform your experience with immersive 3D full HD 1080p technology. Hope that clears any confusion up :)
