Choosing a monitor is not an easy decision to make, and not just because of the large number of variations in resolution, refresh rates, sizes and connectivity options. There are also varying panel technologies used to form each display that need to be considered. These panel technologies can be grouped into three broad categories which cover the vast majority of monitors sold in the consumer market.

NVIDIA G-Sync
NVIDIA G-Sync
Date Issued: 17th Dec 2013

G-SYNC works in a surprisingly simple way - it calculates how long the present frame takes to compute and then, crucially, varies the refresh rate of the monitor to match. It works between a minimum of 33.3ms (30fps) and the maximum supported refresh of the display. The key takeaway here is that the graphics card and monitor are both synced up to one another - the monitor doesn't have the limitations imposed by a rigid, fixed-rate scanning routine.

There’s a lot more to High Definition than just having the ability to run your screen at the right resolution. Rated 5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Overall great product Had this a few months now with no problems at all, secure stand and easily changeable settings on the monitor itself to suit your personal needs, no screen tearing or ghosting, no problems with response time or cables. Just the right size for casual and competitive gaming. Highly recommended for an average priced and reliable 1920x1080 monitor. 09 March 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Monitor! I recently bought two of these to update my rig, along with a few other new bits. They arrived on time, and as soon as I got home from work I hooked them up to try them out - They were amazing! Bright, Clear and vibrant colours. I have one running via HDMI and one DVI and haven't noticed any difference in response times etc this far! Mounts are very good and solid construction, no faults found thus far! 10/10 would definitely recommend. 30 December 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice monitor Very light, very easy to mount and set up, just a shame about the stand being so wobbly, i would defiantly recommend getting if you have a stable desk/table or a monitor stand 17 November 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great value monitor Ordered 2 of these for my sons who are avid gamers. They were seriously impressed and highly delighted with theirs. I personally don't know much about tech but to see and hear them and their mates praising these must be a good sign. The service and speed of delivery received from Scan was superb and I wouldn't hesitate in personally using again or recommending to others. 02 January 2015
