Choosing a monitor is not an easy decision to make, and not just because of the large number of variations in resolution, refresh rates, sizes and connectivity options. There are also varying panel technologies used to form each display that need to be considered. These panel technologies can be grouped into three broad categories which cover the vast majority of monitors sold in the consumer market.

NVIDIA G-Sync
NVIDIA G-Sync
Date Issued: 17th Dec 2013

G-SYNC works in a surprisingly simple way - it calculates how long the present frame takes to compute and then, crucially, varies the refresh rate of the monitor to match. It works between a minimum of 33.3ms (30fps) and the maximum supported refresh of the display. The key takeaway here is that the graphics card and monitor are both synced up to one another - the monitor doesn't have the limitations imposed by a rigid, fixed-rate scanning routine.

There’s a lot more to High Definition than just having the ability to run your screen at the right resolution. With more than one type of connection available, and the thorny subject of signal encryption to contend with, just because your monitor and graphics are capable of 1,920 x 1,080 or better does not necessarily mean they will be able to display HDTV in all its glory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Unbelievable product, amazing service. I had this product recommended to me by a friend and the thing that first caught my eye was the price and I was more than happy to pay for it! The level of customer service I received was amazing. I received many texts about texts he whereabouts of my product and it showed that the company cared which definitely put my upmost trust in them. A very good company and I will definitely be purchasing from them again! 19 February 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great value, great screen. I read the reviews and they were spot on. It is a bit fiddly to change the settings but you don't need to really. You can change the picture to screen, standard, game or movie mode and that's a great feature. You can just pick the one that suits you but otherwise it's just plug in and use. 24 December 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolute Bargain Right price, right product, on time and in perfect condition, but this was Scan so I knew this would be the case. 12 December 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great screen for price Already had one of these so it was bought as a 2nd screen. Good quality, good price, good delivery. 03 October 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent delivery, great product Delivery was excellent, next day was needed and the delivery was tracked and arrived when they said it would. Excellent service. The monitor is very good quality, perfect for what I am using it for (office work and photo edit), havent seen how well it performs with games yet. 14 July 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Basic Monitor For the money you really can't go wrong with this monitor. Purchased it to go with a basic build for a family member and she loves it. Yes, it's only a 1080p but that's all you really need for a non-gaming, general purpose monitor. Asus quality (never been let down by them to date) at a great price. The stand is very basic so does not have the full range of up/down movement. 06 July 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by high quality monitor ideal for rendering and gaming and super fast load time 31 May 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by V nice, great value Was recommended to get something slightly better on framerate/resolution but this has proved perfect so far for all games maxed out graphics. Will be buying a second one soon at this price for a killer setup. 16 March 2015
