Choosing a monitor is not an easy decision to make, and not just because of the large number of variations in resolution, refresh rates, sizes and connectivity options. There are also varying panel technologies used to form each display that need to be considered. These panel technologies can be grouped into three broad categories which cover the vast majority of monitors sold in the consumer market.

G-SYNC works in a surprisingly simple way - it calculates how long the present frame takes to compute and then, crucially, varies the refresh rate of the monitor to match. It works between a minimum of 33.3ms (30fps) and the maximum supported refresh of the display. The key takeaway here is that the graphics card and monitor are both synced up to one another - the monitor doesn't have the limitations imposed by a rigid, fixed-rate scanning routine.

23" AOC I2369VM Monitor, IPS Panel, 1920x1080, 6ms, 250cd/m² Brightness, D-Sub/DP/HDMI, Black is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Quality and Long Running Availability We use these in our office and find them to be good quality, but the best part is the same model has been available for a few years now and therefore we can buy matching units when we have new starters, which seems to be unusual when it comes to technology.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent monitor - nice build quality and compact for its screen size I bought this as a monitor for my wife's PC - having bought its bigger brother (27") for myself a month earlier. Very pleased with the image and build quality. Only problem I had was working out where the control buttons are (on the underside) - simply because the 27" monitor is different with touch control. Can happily recommend both this 23" & the matching 27" AOC monitors

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Budget 23" giving premium run for its money. I brought this as a companion monitor to my Dell Ultrasharp 23", not looking for anything fancy as an Ultrasharp. I was pleasantly surprised when I got this its styling and thin bezel looks more premium than the Dell. After setting up next to my main getting colour balance, contrast, gamma this out the box gave the Dell run for its money in some cases better than my high end 2012 monitor. Pro -High Contrast for an ISP beating my Dell U2312HM -Low lag input -Non aggressive coating slight haze compared to my grainy Dell -Great for price Con -Stand only has tilt and is wobbly -Display port bug (runs at limited mode, fix by doping to 59.99hz) -Same bug with HDMI Highly Recommend this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value After reading many reviews of sub £150 monitors, I concluded this was for the money, best value/screen size. Initially I have been using this as a second monitor on my iMac, setup & installation via display port was quick and simple and the image is excellent. I did have initial reservations about using a matt screen after the glossy of the iMac but the image is still bright & clear, the plus being no reflections. I will be getting another of these and use both of them on my Mac Pro. As quick delivery & good packaging from Scan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from overall very impressed Purchased two of these monitors for a new dual screen photo editing & gaming rig. They are very reasonably priced and the build quality is amazing. The screens have a crazy wide viewing angle because of the IPS panels. The monitors have great performance when playing fps shooters like BF4 with no noticeable lag or blur with the cat motion on screen. Very happy with the screens. Much better quality then the Acer 1080p screen I used previously!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really pleased with the performance and cost of the system The Scan website was excellent and the base systems already designed made it easy to amend the kit purchased to reflect my specific requirements. Very helpful additional information was available on the site to explain the purpose of some of the options such as the SSD memory. Delivery was speedy and the staff very helpful. After spending ages doing comparisons with other similar systems the SCAN computer came out way less expensive. The only thing I found difficult to understand was the cost totals on the website as I added and deducted components seemed to come out different when I saved the specification.
