Product Overview

Bernie Marsden has been a stalwart of the British Blues/Rock scene for many years, from his early days with Cozy Powell, through the famous Whitesnake era and to this day. His signature model PRS SE is based on the PRS 245 model with a 24.5" scale length, suggesting a weighty tone and traditional single cut feel we have all come to know. The neck has a wide fat profile which is not the norm and which harks back to the classic 50's USA style single cutaways.

The neck on this guitar also features a departure for PRS in that it is sanded to give a Satin feel, something Bernie requested himself, and as anyone who has ever played a Satin neck will know, it's a beautiful Glidey thing that feels very smooth and comfortable to play.

Finally, the vintage style machine heads add another nod to 'that' type of guitar from the '50's whilst the SE245 pick-ups combine to offer you a full range of killer rock/blues tones.

Ever since Paul Reed Smith created his original twenty guitars for the 1985 NAMM show (known as the NAMM 20) the quality of his workmanship and the passion to create inspirational guitars has never faltered.
In the early 2000's PRS launched the SE range of guitars to great acclaim, and for good reason. Designed by PRS and following the same attention to detail and quality as their iconic predecessors, these guitars provide the guitarist with a sound, a playability and looks that far outweigh their price tag.

The SE range from PRS guitars provide a choice of fantastic quality woods, different classic PRS neck profiles, from the "wide thin" of an SE Mark Tremonti Custom to the "wide fat" of an SE Zach Myers. The famous 25" scale length that PRS are well known for but also catering for players who are used to the 24.5" scale length is the SE 245 and not forgetting the 27.7" scale SE 277 Baritone.
PRS Pickups, PRS designed tuners, PRS designed Stoptail Bridge or PRS Patented Tremolo System and now the newly available Floyd Rose Tremolo cover all the options you could hope for, and each guitar in the SE range is completed by the Paul Reed Smith signature on the headstock and those iconic bird inlays.
