4790K & Maximus7Ranger vs Corsair Ram

I have a feeling the RAM mentioned above will work with the CPU & MOBO, but will the 1.65v be OK for the setup, I have heard that the Intel CPUs prefers 1.5v. This won't waste my system, will it?

Answer:
I'm using this RAM on a Maximus VI Impact board with no problems. Also, I have just brought a Maximus VII Impact with a 4790K CPU and Ares RAM (1.65v) on stream with no problems, so it should be OK for your board.
