They feature a smooth-running 6-pole motor, an advanced fluid-dynamic bearing, a unique airflow-optimized fan blade design and a fan frame with funnel-shaped air inlets.

Virtually Inaudible, High-End Operation
The SilentWings® 3 140mm PWM model combines all of the above best-in-class features. It strikes the perfect balance between cooling and silence with a maximum of 15.5dB(A) and meets all the requirements to be a perfect choice for heat sinks, PC cases and radiators. Features • Virtually inaudible operation at max. 15.5dB(A).
• 6-pole fan motor with three phases giving very low power consumption and less vibration.
• Advanced fluid-dynamic bearing (FDB) enables a super long fan life of up to 300,000 hours.
• Seven fan blades with optimized surface structures ensure excellent airflow.
• The rubberized fan frame is equipped with funnel-shaped air inlets producing extremely high air pressure.

Advanced PWM function
• Pulse width modulation (PWM) allows compatible 4-pin controllers (including those built into many motherboards) to intelligently vary the speed of the fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have to check to see if they are running lol Have these set on a silent profile in the bios, 2 of them have their own fan header and the other 2 are on a splitter and unless I look at the front of the case to see that they are running I'd never know it lol. Very high quality kit and if used with the included quiet pins they are just so so silent, they do move a fair amount of air to at low speeds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Quiet! I have 2 of these and four of the 120mm versions in my build and they are so quiet but they move so much air. If you are looking for the best silent fans forget Noctuas and get these instead you won’t be disappointed and they look awesome too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality I bought three for my case. Build quality is exceptional and works as advertised. As it says on the tin they cool well and most importantly are very quiet. Even at full speed I only hear a satisfying whoosh of air without any sound of the mechanism or vibration. Very sturdy and feel of high quality when held in the hand - feels like they will last. Very well packaged too with choice of fittings. I chose the screwless setup, which went in easy. Has noise dampened attachment. Oh and they look pretty good for fans. Stylish even. I'd definitely recommend. Can't imagine you'd get much better than this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A product that lives up to its name The two 140mm fans from be quiet has lowered the cpu and gpu temps by over 5 degrees without adding any noticeable contribution to the noise. They have mad a cheap case "Thermaltake" case work, at £20 each they represent good value for the quality, but had we spent the extra £40 and bought a better case we would not have needed them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fans that move alot of air quietly At full pelt these fans are not silent, but they are very quiet. I used to have AF140 fans and at full speed those made a lot of noise. However these turned up to max seemingly move just as much air but with a lot less noise. I'm a big fan of the push pin mounting mechanism as it decouples the fan from the chassis
