12.5" Lenovo ThinkPad X230, Core i5-3320M, Intel HD 4000 GPU, 8GB RAM, 240GB SSD, Windows 7 Pro *12 Month Warranty* is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hides its age For a 2012 laptop this could be a modern release. Minor wear on contact areas, primarily the left-click button. The trackpoint is like new. The BIOS is unlocked, important for those who want to use Linux. The battery life leaves a little to be desired but it'll get through a couple of lessons comfortably. Performance is perfect for what it's needed for (web, word processing, spreadsheets and light programming), and the SSD is a Samsung Evo 850 256GB which gives stonking performance. Why use "sleep" when you can boot and start typing into a document in 20 seconds? My classmates haven't even got their bags open!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great price and quality, slight differences from item description Laptop arrived in great condition, only cosmetic imperfection is a small mark on the back. Battery lasts a good few hours which is better than I had expected. However the laptop I received didn't quite fit the description - it DOES have a webcam, and at has 4GB of RAM instead of 8GB.

What grade are these?

Wondering what grade these x230's are. As in A, B or C. Am I guaranteed an undamaged screen of a set resolution or is should I expect a lottery of potential specs and conditions?
Asked by: dogstix
Gonna answer my own question here: The machines are ungraded. The screen is perfect and the keyboard looks almost new. The touch pad seems to have some kind of adhesive mask over it but is easily acceptable and looks fine. The case has light scuffs and disappointingly some breaks close to the touchpad that required some repair work as it made the right click mushy. Another crack on the screen lid corner is less critical but again disappointing. If the machine were graded it would like be D or low C because of the breaks but overall I don't regret the purchase. It works great and runs Arch very well. Small and robust. How someone managed to crack the case will remain a mystery. Be warned, it's a bit of a lottery with the case but you can expect good contact surfaces, a good screen and full function.
