Product Overview Corsair Air Series LED high static pressure PC case fans combine efficient high pressure airflow with striking LED lighting. They’re custom designed to deliver air directly to high-temperature components with less noise and turbulence than ordinary fans. The custom-molded blades are translucent and have a frosted texture, so the light from the four LEDs adds a dramatic effect. Features Designed for restricted spaces
Air Series SP fan models are designed for use in restricted spaces. They’re ideal for radiator and heatsink use, as well as drive bay intakes and other locations where you’re mounting a fan directly adjacent to a heat source. For general purpose case ventilation where you’d like high airflow with minimal excess noise, check out our AF120 and AF140 LED fans.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Anybody who has been near their share of computer systems will appreciate that not all systems make the same amount of noise. There are a number of reasons for why this is so. Firstly, a computer makes noise for different reasons. Generally, anything mechanical is going to make noise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 120mm Corsair Air Series SP120 Good fans for sure, Like most who have been tinkering with their computers for many years, I have always been a bit picky when it comes to fans, Not for the aesthetics particularly, But for the noise versus performance balance. These fans have a top RPM speed of 1500, I was sure that above 1200 they would be a tad noisier than I would like, But bought them anyway as I could always cut the speed back with a Zalman fanmate or case fan controller. To my surprise they where not that loud at full RPM voltage, I have one pushing air through a Thermalright Extreme cpu cooler and the noise level is easily liveable with, That said I did drop the speed to 1250 rpm as with said cooler and this fan the temps stay at around 30c, For all my computing requirements. Planning to use the second one in a similar setup on another machine. So the long and the short of it, They push plenty of air, Are fairly quiet at full stock speed and for those who like a little bling the LEDs are quite bright. Highly recommended along with the usual Scan service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fans The reason why I got these, was down to their CFM and static performance.. I would admit they are not the best.. However. For around 15 pounds for the pack I can do a lot worst. These are on my top rad and they do a fine job. I have them on a fan controller and I ran them at 100%. I could only hear the punp. Finally they look very nice.. The LED is ( red) and pure it does not look pink or orange line you can get. The LED is not too bright ethoir. It does come to no surprise from Corsair

How many pins are the fans?

Im looking to upgrade my case fans which are only 2pin fans and was wondering if these were 4pin like processor fans
Asked by: NightShade
Hello, These fans require at least a 3pin connection. Regards,
