Product Overview Corsair Air Series LED high airflow PC case fans combine efficient, low-noise airflow with striking LED lighting. The blades are custom-molded for optimal airflow, and they’re ultra-thin for less noise and turbulence. The sleeved bearing system reduces vibration for quiet operation. The fan blades are translucent, with a frosted texture, so the light from the four LEDs adds a dramatic effect.
Air Series AF fan models perform best in unrestricted spaces with at least 3cm of clearance, and they’re ideal for mounting at the rear or top of your PC case as exhaust fans for your PC’s motherboard and CPU, graphics accelerators, and other components that fill the case with heat. They work equally well as unrestricted intake fans for areas like side panels or bottom intakes.
For high restriction areas like hard drive cages or in other tight spaces where there’s less air volume, check out our Air Series SP models of high static pressure fans.
Features • Tuned for high-airflow, large volume cooling
• Better performance than standard case fans
• Translucent, frosted fan blades and Red LEDs for a dramatic effect
• Nine ultra-thin fan blades and a sleeved bearing system for less vibration, noise and turbulence
• Custom fan enclosure for ducting air in the right direction with minimal interference.
• Available in single or twin packs.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Anybody who has been near their share of computer systems will appreciate that not all systems make the same amount of noise. There are a number of reasons for why this is so. Firstly, a computer makes noise for different reasons. Generally, anything mechanical is going to make noise.

120mm Corsair Quiet LED Fan AF120-LED, Red, Dual Pack is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and cool - perfect! Purchased these to go into a new case to improve the cooling in the near future. Easy to install and dropped the temp straight away. Have used Corsair fans before and will use them in the future as well, so I would recommend them all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fans, Great Performance When it comes to Corsair my expectations of their products is always that bit higher due to pretty much every one of their products that I own being great. Fans on the other hand as long as they look good and perform well I don’t really care. These relay fit all the criteria. There great performance wise and are very quiet too and do it whilst looking the part to. They come with an adapter to lower the speed down a bit if they are still too loud and a bag of large headed screws allowing you to get really good grip with a driver. The packing box is nice looking and does a good job of protecting the product. These for me are great looking LED fans which normally I don’t like (look a bit cheap) these on the other hand I do really like. Corsair have hit just the right balance, a bit of bling but keeping the subtlety and premium look. I really have to give them props for getting that balance just right so many other miss that mark for me. Let’s talk about AF v SP corsair naming for airflow optimised or static pressure optimised fans and what I can see the effect of them. Having both myself there is not really any noticeably difference performance wise when using them in the areas there not design for other than noise. Sticking these AF right up close to an object (Rad or HHD) did make them notably louder meanwhile a SP in that area was nice and quiet. So yes do pic you fans depending on the area they are going to be to really minimize the noise. So in conclusion if you want very good performing, quiet and very good looking fans and are willing to spend the extra money go ahead. You will not be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but... just a fan! I'm not really sure what I expected when receiving these two Corsair AF120's. But to summarise you get two perfectly functional fans in a box and 8 screws. They aren't the quietest fans, they don't move air significantly better than any other fan I've used but the build quality seems pretty good and they are aesthetically pleasing. Also don't expect any fancy attachments in the box or rubber grommets you will be sorely disappointed. The LED glow is quite pleasing and not too harsh, especially when you reduce their speed to around 1000 RPM. Incidentally this is where you want them to be for sensible noise / performance levels. Overall if you have a Corsair case they fit the aesthetic, they aren't stupidly expensive and look pretty good. I was just left feeling a bit like... is that it?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from quiet fans the old fans were noisy and then developed a fault. These new fans were selected to be quieter and more efficient and we can see the temperature is a little lower and the noise level much lower than before so pleased with the product. Installation straightforward but slighlt difference in shape meant just fitted as replacement. Pleased took Scan insurance just in case although not needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice airflow airflow is very good ! i turned the fans up to 900rpm for idle state in my mobo config and i cant hear them ... and believe it or not but my temps went down by 2-5 idle and about 5-10 on heavy loads they push alot more cooler air than stock corsair case fans. the only downside is youll need to supply your own rubbers if u want the full noise cancelation which coems from little vibration. but the vibrations i dont feel them at all from fans only my 7200rpm hdd which is on rubbers pads . also before you start putting the fans into your case , you might need to "drill" those wholes abit first with the supplied screws... they are very tight and hard to screw for the first time. Leds are decent. not too bright , not too dark, in the middle. other than that PERFECT fans!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AF120s, what is there to say? I was looking to increase the airflow in my case (CM Storm Stryker) and was looking for a set of strong intake fans. Of course I ended up setting my sights on the Corsair AF120s. The web is littered with great reviews of these as they're so competitively priced for their performance. Suffice to say I have not been disappointed at all! They're quiet (but not silent), even at 100% speed. I run them at a max of 80% because the sound really falls off at that point. The lighting on them is great, producing a nice even spread rather than the ever so common four-led-headlights look that irks me. This is a dual pack which makes it perfect for when you want to replace the fans on your rads or as intake fans.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from windy init I bought 3 of the double packs for my Hexa 720 radiator. The fans are well made and quiet when with all 6 are spinning at around 900rpm, relaese the hounds and throw a 4.8GHz overclock at my 4770k and spin up the fans to full speed and they're not that bad. I plan on buying another 6 to put on the pull side of the rad once the outside temps start to warm up. All in all I'd recommend them. They're not the quietest, but I'd rather have these than a quieter fan that looks like the contents of a babies nappy.
