Product Overview Corsair Air Series LED high static pressure PC case fans combine efficient high pressure airflow with striking LED lighting. They’re custom designed to deliver air directly to high-temperature components with less noise and turbulence than ordinary fans. The custom-molded blades are translucent and have a frosted texture, so the light from the four LEDs adds a dramatic effect. Features Designed for restricted spaces
Air Series SP fan models are designed for use in restricted spaces. They’re ideal for radiator and heatsink use, as well as drive bay intakes and other locations where you’re mounting a fan directly adjacent to a heat source. For general purpose case ventilation where you’d like high airflow with minimal excess noise, check out our AF120 and AF140 LED fans.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Anybody who has been near their share of computer systems will appreciate that not all systems make the same amount of noise. There are a number of reasons for why this is so. Firstly, a computer makes noise for different reasons. Generally, anything mechanical is going to make noise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Quiet and smooth Work very well, temps for push in a push/pull on 360 rad and they give great temps. Also work with pwm controllers 20 January 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does exactly what it's meant to, really well! I got these fans to replace the one on my CPU watercooling radiator, as I wasn't happy with the performance of the one already on there. I noticed an immediate 10C improvement (~40C to ~30C!) in idle temperatures as soon as I booted up, with just one of the fans replacing my old one. I was expecting to be putting one on either side for good airflow, but one is definitely enough. I decided to replace my front fan (which has to blow through the hard drive cage). Note: These fans (SP series) are intended for situations where air has to be moved through a difficult space, such as a radiator or a hard drive cage, and will not perform nearly as well as an AF series one for regular airflow! 27 July 2015
