Product Overview

CiT 120cm Black Fan

The 120mm PWM fan is an excellent cooling solution for your PC build with a black frame and white blade colour scheme. The fan is stylish and clean and is a highly efficient fan which is the ultimate PC computing and gaming solution. We have designed a fan with optimised airflow thanks to the nine-blade design. Spinning at 900-1800rpm, which equates to 71.1 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of air being moved around your case, a huge amount of airflow that will keep your system running at optimum temperatures. This performance case delivers high performance and durability.

Features

• Highly efficient case fan operation with nine blades and 120 x 120 x 25mm dimensions with an optimal blend of airflow and static pressure make this a specific air-cooling solution enabling use as a PC case, liquid cooling radiator or CPU cooler fan.
• Dynamic PWM-controlled fan speeds from 900 RPM up to 1800 RPM, this allows for significant increase in efficiency, pushing up to 71.1 CFM of air with 2.26mm-H2O of static pressure.
• The 120mm PWM cooling fan is easy to add to your cooling setup – daisy-chained 4-pin PWM connectors let you link multiple fans and control them all through just a single 4-pin PWM header on your Motherboard. PWM control lets you precisely set fan speeds so your fans only spin as fast as they need to.
• The fan is equipped with a long lasting durable hydraulic bearing motor ensures high speed operation, reduces wear, reduces noise and improves service life.
• Anti-vibration pads provide the PWM fan with extra protection and helps absorb fan vibration and helps to keep the overall noise down to a minimum.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Anybody who has been near their share of computer systems will appreciate that not all systems make the same amount of noise. There are a number of reasons for why this is so. Firstly, a computer makes noise for different reasons. Generally, anything mechanical is going to make noise.
