Low-noise operation due to high-quality rifle bearing. The parallel arrangement of recesses on the outer side of the bearing shaft ensure uniform circulation of the high-quality oil and make the fan very quiet. Mechanical noise is minimized by antivibration fasteners and the rubberized fan frame. The high-quality IC motor controller reduces electrical noise sources.

Long service life
Reliable cooling for up to 200,000 hours thanks to the high-quality rifle bearing.

High air flow
The flow-optimized surface structure of the fan blades produce more air flow in combination with smooth running.

Simple assembly
Screwless installation makes handling simple.

Service
3 year manufacturer guarantee.

The modern PC is potentially a mass of heat output and heat production hot spots. With CPUs rated at more than 100W of heat output, single graphics boards carrying similar ratings (and people want to run two!), multiple hard drives the norm, lots of memory and mainboards covered in heatpipes to combat toasty core logic and PWM circuits, a PC appreciably warming up a room when it’s working hard is no joke.

Watercooling
Date Issued: 19th Jun 2008

Watercooling for the PC has been around for years in some form or another, for at least as long as Scan have been in business, with basic physics defining why you want to use it. That means for air cooling, to cope with increasing temperature in the heatsink you need to move the air across it faster. That is why thermostatically controlled fans in your PC will turn faster the hotter something gets.

Anybody who has been near their share of computer systems will appreciate that not all systems make the same amount of noise. There are a number of reasons for why this is so. Firstly, a computer makes noise for different reasons. Generally, anything mechanical is going to make noise.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very quiet Fitted this to a radiator for my water cooled GPU, very quiet even at high speed, well recommended. 18 November 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good airflow combined with acceptable noise levels I bought two of these fans to replace those which came fitted to the side panel of my case. Their job was to keep a 7990 cool in a mid tower case and at the same time keep quiet. The airflow they generate is impressive and has got my GPU down from a dangerous 100oC to a toasty 75oC. The noise they make is noticeable however when playing a video or game you cannot hear them at all. For me I have a switch for the fans and only turn them on when gaming or video editing, as a result the noise is not an issue. I should also point out that having the fans turned on is still quieter than having the GPU fans at 100%. The installation of these was a breeze, no screws required and they can be easily removed/ remounted if needs be. The only thing which would put me off these fans is the AKASA AK-FN059 which seems to perform a little better. Unfortunately I only noticed this after I bought them. 08 December 2013
