I got this after my 7 year old enermax galaxy 1000 watt psu started playing up.
Boy things have moved on since that. This is probably a little overkill for my needs but my system runs about 600 watts max and this is over 90% efficient at 50% draw so it works brilliant for me and the best thing is the eco mode fan which can be left off untill the unit gets hot and switches it on but that doesnt happen as it runs very cool and efficient so hasnt needed to switch on and cool itself therefore it wont get full of dust so quickly like they tend to with the fan running, win win for me, did I say it was quiet even with the fan running but i dont hear a thing in eco mode (stat controlled fan).
10 year warranty and evga service :)
It is worth it for me.

EVGA quality and limited 10 year warranty. Together with the fact that its made by Superflower based on the Leadex model make this PSU really, really hard to beat.
Cablemods also do braided replacement cables at very affordable prices in a wide array of colours. Great PSU with easy modding for themed builds.

Having recently upgraded to a pair of MSI GTX 970s in SLI, I found my old faithful Corsair HX1000w didn't have the Amps to power this setup. To be fair, it hasn't put a foot wrong and I have had it for 7 years, and had been planning to upgrade to a PSU with a single 12v rail. Orignially planning to upgrade to the Corsair AX1200i, but mixed reviews instead lead to the EVGA Supernova 1200 P2.
Can't really find any faults with it, it's based on the Super Flower Leadex unit, it powers my set-up without breaking a sweat, build quality seems excellent, and there are plenty of connectors for every realistic build out there. It's also much more affordable than similarly priced units, at time of writing it cost about £50 less than an AX1200i.
Only have two minor problems with this unit, the 24 pin ATX cable is kind of short, only just reaches the connector in my case (Corsair Obsidian 800d), and all the braided cables are quite inflexible, although not sure if they'll become more flexible over time, leading to a bit of panel bulge around the back.
Fantastic unit, will be registering it for the 10yr warranty, can't really fault anything with it (apart from minor issues above), would highly recommend.

Previous I have used lots of Corsair PSUs and was going to get the AX1200i for my most recent build, but thought I would consider other options this time.
My criteria was over 1kW with single 12V rail as I was conscious of the need to power a R9 295x2 as well as all the other components. Modular to reduce the amount of cable clutter and as quiet as possible.
So far this PSU has performed flawlessly and is quiet even when under heavy load. Haven't monitored constantly but every time I spot check the voltages, everything seems pretty much spot on. Had more than enough connectors to power everything in my build.
