We have an opportunity in our IT team for a Business Analysis / QA, the role will involve assisting in a full project lifecycle from requirements capture, testing through to delivery. The ability to communicate with key stakeholders, understand their problem thoroughly and help design a solution, becoming the first point of contact for the development team. Playing a key role in planning, implementation and delivery to bring about change in an Agile work environment.

Experience

  • 5+ years experience working in a Business Analyst role

Duties

  • Extraction of business requirements from stakeholders, ability to think out of the box and guide creative solutions to problems. Using appropriate techniques such as workshops, 1-2-1s and interviews.
  • Analysing existing processes and suggesting efficiencies and improvements
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, suppliers and developers, acting as a liaison
  • Distil problems and solutions in to clear and accurate functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Support and participate in daily stand ups and sprint planning with the development team
  • Using various tools to find bugs / issues, then document required fixes
  • Suggesting ideas for new features and functionality
  • Testing solutions to ensure they meet requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Writing of documentation
  • Delivery of projects, including documentation and facilitation of training to end users

Required Skills

  • Great problem solving skills and adept at defining new processes
  • Ability to understand business domain and capture business requirements to write functional specifications and user stories
  • Excellent communicator, with skills in facilitation and negotiation
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to evaluate risk and time requirements of projects
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Desire to improve business progresses and deliver change
  • Open and honest, not afraid to challenge where required.
  • Experience working within frameworks such as ISO 27001
