Scan are now recruiting for this new additional role to enhance our bidding team, reporting to and working alongside the Head of Professional Services. The role will principally be based at home with the occasional HQ visit required (Bolton area)

Key Responsabillities

  • Identifying opportunities - reviewing contract notices and adverts/invites in order to identify opportunities which are of interest to the business.
  • Bid/No-Bid Process - conducting a full Bid/No-Bid process for each opportunity with the wider team
  • Responsibility from receipt until submission of all event stages such as PQQ, ITT and RFI, for both existing and new clients
  • Working with the wider business in order to obtain/compile content and write answers.
  • Working with the sales team on the completion of the commercial aspects of the bids. Managing own workload, working on multiple submissions at any one time. These can range from £10,000 to £1 million+ in value, depending on the services being procured and contract duration.

Essential criteria

  • We are looking for someone with experience of the bid process at this level, preferably with Public Sector knowledge. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal English skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Experience of multitasking in a high-pressure environment
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines
  • Good organisational and administrative skills

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working within the IT and/or Public sector.

About you

You will be working on multi sector submissions, such as Local Government, Universities, Retail, Education, Health, Highways and Utilities, so you will need to be able to multitask and may be required to manage several submissions at any one time. This can be a highpressure environment due to deadlines so experience of working in a similar environment would be an advantage.

The primary focus is to produce a successful submission within the agreed timescale. You will also conduct client / competitor analysis as part of the process.

You will be a team player, whilst being able to work on your own initiative, organised and flexible to ensure targets are achieved with excellent IT skills (Excel, Word) and experience of MS Teams
