System Overview

The 3XS TZ390 Computer Music PC is our most popular mid-range solution and suitable for mixing, recording, tracking and all the other facets of in the box production that are required from a modern studio system. This computer music PC is powered by an i9, 8 core (16 thread) CPU solution from the top of Intel’s mid-range that we overclock up to 4.9GHz when running the i9 9900K edition, giving you enough performance to run even the most demanding of VSTi's and plug in's within your sequencer. The chosen motherboard allows us the ability to expand the system up to 64GB of memory, so you have the ability to use plenty of audio and sample banks without fear of maxing out the system overheads. This computer music PC has a total of 8 drive bays allowing you plenty of storage space for all of your sounds, samples and programs, as well as benefiting from the ranges own on-chip graphics solution which can handle a pair of monitors without requiring an extra graphics card, further improving your workflow by allowing you plenty of screen space to work with. This system whilst being our flagship mid-range solution boasts a performance capability that was unheard of only a few years ago and as such makes a superb "in the box" solution for any project and indeed many pro level studios.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from quality upgrade my previous music computer was also a scan overclock but after 5 years of trouble free use it is starting to struggle with the latest super synths processing requirements . so this was bought to replace it . as usual no problems and a significant upgrade in cpu power to run the latest plugins .highly recommended keith

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best music PC I've had! I love this machine. Effortlessly powerful, whisper quiet and beautifully put together. I can now focus on mixing rather than trying to squeeze the last few ounces of extra CPU out of an already maxed out system. The computer is easily quiet enough to have in the control room even if you have to track a vocal or guitar in there too. The components chosen by Scan are top notch giving me a system that's rock solid (overclocked) and if you opt for a dedicated passive graphics card ,in my case the Pailt GTX 1050 Ti 4GB, you can easily run a large monitor without drawing on CPU resources. If you are thinking about upgrading or buying a new music production computer I would highly recommend getting this.!! The ordering process and delivery was painless enough apart from a delay in building my system. In my initial order the monitor I had chosen would not be in stock for a week so I took the opportunity to upgrade to a better model that was in stock but the build date was not updated to reflect that fact so I had to wait an extra week over the 5 working days for my order. A keyboard and mouse bundle I had ordered also failed to arrive with my system but once I got in contact with Scan it was dispatched promptly. These things did not bother me as I had my old system to use while I waited and hiccups happen to even the best of us.... and the computer was well worth the wait. I would not hesitate in ordering from Scan again.

Can I run 2 4k monitors.

Do the internal graphic ports support running 2 * 4K @60Hz monitors?
Asked by: Tigger
Hi, I can confirm the default ASUS PRIME Z390-A supports the following outputs (without a discrete GPU) - - Supports HDMI with max. resolution 4096 x 2160 @ 30 Hz - Supports DisplayPort 1.2 with max. resolution 4096 x 2304 @ 60 Hz Unfortunately, although it can support two 4K monitors, the one connected HDMI would be capped at 30Hz. I would recommend adding a dedicated GPU to the order to establish 60Hz on both monitors. Kind regards,
