You will probably need a display to view full size video preview of the media your working on.

Computer Video Inputs and Output Ports

Computer Video Inputs and Output Ports

All SCAN video editing workstations come with 1394a Firewire port and USB3 as standard.

These inputs are also called IEEE 1394 port and/or iLink ports on PCs and MACs and are made to capture video. You will normally use this port to connect your video camcorder or digital camera to the computer and capture your video footage and media.

USB 3.0 port will allow you to capture your footage from modern digital camcorders and DSLR'S.

There is also a large range of specialist hardware with added ports such as HDMI SDI and Component. Some of these have breakout boxes some of these may be application specific.

All SCAN Video editing Workstation come with a DVD Writer / Re- Writer as standard Blu-Ray Disc players and recorders are available as an optional extra and a large selection of DVD and Blu Ray Media is always available at competitive prices.

By using a 64bit operating system like Microsoft Windows 7 Professional edition allowing your system to take advantage of the systems available RAM and some software vendors like ADOBE ,Grass Valley are Sony making their packages take advantage of the 64bit architecture.
