Memory - RAM

RAM (Random Access Memory) is used to temporarily store files that a PC is using – so the more you’ve got, the better. That’s not the only consideration to bear in mind when buying memory: the speed, measured in MHz, will determine its performance, and make sure any memory is compatible with your motherboard: it’ll need DDR, DDR2 or DDR3 memory, and it will have to be dual, triple or quad-channel.

DDR3 Triple Channel - (1800Mhz +)

DDR3 Triple Channel Memory is a set of three or six matched memory modules, specifically for Intel X58 Chipset Motherboards which feature three or six memory slots. Triple channel memory will have a higher bandwidth than a dual (2 memory module) channel memory system. These Memory modules come with a clock speed of 1800Mhz or more (check product specifications), and are available in packs of three or six modules. Always fit triple channel memory modules as a complete set to your motherboard.
