The Rocket 620 is the industry’s first PCI-Express 2.0 host adapter delivering the next generation of SATA connectivity up to 600MB/s on a single PCI-Express x1 lane. The Rocket 620 enables the use of the industry’s newest and fastest hard drives at 6 GB/s while providing backward compatibility to legacy SATA 1.5 GB/s or 3 GB/s drives. It uses the same cable and connectors as previous SATA generations to ease integration.

Good Points+: Adds a couple of SATA3 ports to any PC with a free PCIE slot.

Bad Points−: Very slow compared to on board Intel/AMD controllers.

Included cables are of poor quality.

No management software.

Requires PCIE2.0 slot to function at its advertised speeds.
