Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enabled USB 3 function in an old motherboard Fitted to an old motherboard in a new build project to get a USB 3 connection working . Was straightforward to fit . Works as expected ie allot better than USB 2 .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works very well. Easy to install drivers on win7 x64, means i can now use my usb3 card reader. I think mine had a floppy power connector instead of a molex as shown in the picture - which according to various internet reviews is preferable, and its easy to connect. Just be sure you have a spare floppy power connector on your power supply or you might need an adapter.

power port on the pcb that im not familiar with

I was looking at this card for my pc but noticed there is a power port on the pcb that im not familiar with, could you tell me what the 4 pin connector is and why its there as there is nothing in the specs on your site.
