DIR-615 "N" Wireless Home Router High performance with whole home coverage

The D-Link DIR-615 Wireless N Home Router is an 802.11n V2 compliant device designed for users that demand higher performance networking at the best cost.

By connecting the DIR-615 router to a cable or DSL modem, users will be able to share their high-speed Internet access with everyone on the network and create a secure wireless network to share photos, music, video, printers and digital media players throughout their home.

*Draft 2.0 Certification
The DIR-615 achieved “draft 2.0” certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance®, a distinction that guarantees interoperability amongst 802.11n products, adherence to security protocols and backward compatibility with previous generations of Wi-Fi equipment, including popular 802.11g products.

The D-Link Wireless N Router (DIR-615) provides a better wireless signal for your network than existing wireless 802.11g technology. Upgrading your home to Wireless N provides an excellent solution for sharing an Internet connection and files such as video, music, photos, and documents. D-Link Wireless N products use Intelligent Antenna technology to transmit multiple streams of data which enable you to receive wireless signals in the farthest corners of your home. Not only does D-Link's Wireless N technology extend your wireless range, it also works with your existing 802.11g wireless devices.

The D-Link Quick Router Setup Wizard quickly configures your new Wireless N Router to get you up and running in minutes. Our Setup Wizard walks you step by step through the installation process to configure your Internet connection, wireless network settings and security, and everything else you need to get your network up and running so that you don't have to be a networking expert to get it set up.

The DIR-615 supports the latest wireless security features to help prevent unauthorized access, be it from over a wireless network or from the Internet. Support for WPA™ and WPA2™ standards ensure that you will be able to use the best possible encryption, regardless of your client devices. In addition, this Wireless N router utilizes dual active firewalls (SPI and NAT) to prevent potential attacks from across the Internet.

This Wireless N Router uses draft 802.11n technology with multiple external antennas to maximize the speed and range of your wireless signal to significantly outperform 802.11g MIMO devices. The antennas on the Wireless N Router make use of your home's environment by bouncing multiple wireless signals off of walls and ceilings to work around obstructions.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for an accesspoint Bought the D-Link router and set up as an access point to the Infinity setup downstairs. happily transfers 70meg across cable. 03 March 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by As it says on the tin - compatible with DD-WRT I bought this specifically as one of the cheapest routers that can run DD-WRT. DD-WRT is an free alternative firmware that allows a huge number of options and features. (I wanted no NAT - a pure router) Also this router has a switch mode supply (internally) and will run off anything from 5V to 25V without complaining, I'm using a 12V car battery. My mum has a standard one that hasn't needed a reboot in over a year, so they seem to be nice and stable. Steve 23 August 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy setup and runs very cool Just load the CD, connect up the Router and in 5mins I was up and running. This unit replaces a DIR-815 which was needing rebooting too often and also run rather on the warm side (I notice the 815 has now no longer available). The DIR-615 runs much cooler, just a touch over ambient and so far, no reboots after 1 month. My network also includes a DSL-320B modem which just goes on and on and DGS-104 & 108 switches which just sit around the network and do their thing. I can highly recommend these DLink and these products. One thing I will say about DLink is there support, when needed is excellent and very quick. I also think Scan are an excellent supplier though a little expensive on some items. 23 August 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Powerful and effective Would not install from CD, had to do so over the web. Loses the DNS info so has to be restarted occasionally. 21 May 2013
