Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surpassed my expectation by a distance I bought this as a temporary replacement for an H80i that had failed after more than 6 years of near continuous 24/7 use. I was expecting this cooler to be adequate but no more... I am happy to say I was way off the mark. CPU temps are fantastic (Core i7 4930K, temps recorded at 33C), it is almost silent and installation was a breeze (socket 2011). With how well this is running, I really do not see any need to pay extra for a higher end model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value cooling I've used various models from the Corsair Hydro range and have been happy with the build quality, and the cooling ability of all of them. I had an issue with my H100 but Corsairs RMA process was painless and I received a replacement in a reasonable amount of time The H55 lived up to my expectations and keeps my Sandy Bridge i5 cool without emitting too much noise from the standard fan. Saying that I have swapped the fan out for a Noctua NF-F12 PWM which is quieter and better overall than the standard Corsair item

Can I change the fan and do I need thermal paste

Thermal paste is include (pre-applied to the cooler) and any 120mm fan can be fitted to the radiator.
