Rated 5 out of 5 by Richard The construction is sturdy, the cups are comfortable and completely sit around ears. Sound quality is very very good. The coiled cable is an extremely nice addition.
Bass response is very light. Some people may not like this. The semi-open design allows for a lot of leakage, both in and out. In terms of value for money, it's a case of diminishing returns, the sound quality is amazing, but for a bit less you could only lose a little quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Agus Great sound quality, delivering a rather neutral sound with not too much bass and punch as some listeners may demand but is not the focus of this headphone. Higher frequencies are not too sharp and drilling and the entire spectrum holds high detail. The midrange is clearly audible.
Compared with my Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro the AKG, although wide in sound stage, it's not quite as wide-sounding as the DT990 which, I guess, would be down to the full openness of the Beyer's design. Not that any is better than the other in this regard; it's all down to preference and the difference is tiny.
The AKG comes with two detachable cables (mini XLR to 3.5mm).
No bad points really. Some may not be happy about the sound leakage of this headphone but that's the nature of open designs.
