I have had a good few fan controllers in my time but this one sadly is no good. So the problems are that sometimes the bottom quarter of the temp screen fails to turn on so you only see the top half where it says "RPM XXXX" and other times the display fails to turn on altogether (in fact as i am writing this, its off). The overall quality is average at best. The finish is not great, the mode/C&F buttons are poor quality and make a really cheap clicking sound when pressed and the fan 3 dial on my unit is off center. This unit also has problems reading the correct RPM from the fans alot of the time. I have 2 SP120 2250 RPM fans (3-pin) on port 1 & 2 and sometimes the display reads that they are hitting 3000+ RPM. This problem seems to be corrected buy maxing the fans out then turning them back down but even then the RPM never holds out on the display jumping up and down in the range of say 300 RPM either way. I have also found that running my fans at a low speed produces a small buzzing noise. Nothing major but its there.
Something i should add since its not listed in the description is that this controller works for 3 pin fans. The connections still fit 4-pin fans but each connection only has 3 pins inside so there is no real need to change your 3 pin fans to 4 pin in case you were wondering if that would work better. I use a 4-pin on dial 3 of this unit and have the same problems as dial 1 & 2. The RPM will display for 3-pin fans also, best to add that since i watched a youtube vid on this unit that claimed you needed 4-pin, that's simply not true.
On the positive side it does actually control the fans as it should. Fans will remain off until you turn the dial past the 9 o'clock mark then they kick in at (im guessing) around 20-30% speed. The temperature readings seem legit (as long as the display comes on) but sadly the alarm feature will not max out all the fans when it goes off like other high end fan controllers will. You'll get your basic "beep beep beep" and that's it. A real problem for headset users or overnight downloaders etc.
Overall i would suggest avoiding this unit. It could be that i just got a bad one but that's a chance you will have to take.
I have included a picture of the controller as of right now with the display failing to turn on and will add others when it goes bad again to show the other problems i talked about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mark Effective and simple controller.
Useful temperature monitoring feature.
Clean and appealing aesthetics.
Great value for money.
Look may not appeal to everyone.
Temperature 1 and Fan 1 etc. are linked on the display so can't select temperature and fan separately.
Would be nice to see sleeved cables as can get a little messy given the number of connections.
