Rated 4 out of 5 by BobA Could be more 'modular'
Good solid quiet (usually silent) supply whose fan only winds up under heavy load. Feels a solid build from a reputable name.
My only gripe is that the cables are very long especially to the mobo and make it difficult to keep tidy. Also why have molex connectors as a non-option since no one much uses them now so they just clutter things. The sata connectors are very close together so I ended up needing both cables.
OK, but not nearly as neat as I'd hoped for.

Bought to replace antec 500w which was starting to fail - this has more power yet makes less noise so would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by EddieYacht A good quiet part-modular PSU
The product was as advertised. It went into my self-build desktop with no issues and mounted neatly with intake downwards in a Fractal Design R4 case pulling air though the air filter. The ATX cables and one 3*SATA and one 3*MOLEX are permanently attached and there is a second pair (3*SATA, 3*MOLEX) supplied thatr plug-in. There are also various 6/8 pin cables and adaptors supplied. The cables are good quality and the plugs seem secure.
The box came with a NEMA 5-15 grounded (type B) kettle lead inside and a UK kettle lead taped to the outside - odd, but not a problem.
The cables were long enough and I was able to route them tidily round the back of the mother board tray where necessary. The spacing of the 3 plugs along the SATA cable makes is quite close so for a HDD at the bottom and a DVD at the top I needed both SATA power cables.
I mounted the PSU on a silcone rubber gasket for vibration reduction. This leads to my only criticism which is that I could have done with a earth terminal on the PSU as I like to ground the case. This PSU does not have one.
Scan service exceeded my expectations again with a fast delivery for a very good price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kevin21 It's Quiet!
I have this Corsair TX550M powering a Core i7 Sandybridge @ 4.7 Ghz, a Corsair H100i unit, x4 case fans, a GTX660 and a DVD drive, it runs 24/7 without a hiccup. The fan inside the psu is virtually silent and the black sleeving on the cables is excellent for a clean build. The 12V (CPU) power cable was too short to route around back of a mid sized Fractal Design case, had to buy an extension for £4, also my unit came with a US power plug, not UK, lucky I had a few spares.

Rated 3 out of 5 by dini74 value for money but not sure about build quality
Not much to say. I think it was a recommended buy from Scan. good value for money. Bronze class etc. The reason for a 3 is that after a few days the fan started making noise. Scan was quick to resolve the issue though and I got a new one on warranty within 5 days (sent on monday return friday). The new one is behaving so far.
