Ordered another 4gb but received defective ram not scan's fault. scans delivery was very quick and offered great service as always. I would highly recommend this ram it was just my luck that I received defective ram.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not too shabby. I bought this ram as it's cheap and cheerful. Corsair's products are top notch and thankfully the RAM worked out of the box. The main reason I bought this DIMM was because of the low profile heat spreader, which I knew I would need if I wanted to use my first RAM slot, which would otherwise be obstructed by my large CPU heatsink. This ram fits nicely under it though. The RAM itself is a little misleading as it's rated as 1600mhz but it only runs at these speeds once the XMP profile has been activated in the bios. (Although this may be different on an Intel platform) Natively the ram is 1333mhz which made trying to overclock it pretty much a no-go. I had no joy even trying to run at 1866mhz and I could not get the timings to loosen an inch from 9-9-9-24, even after upping the volts to 1.6 Your mileage may, I expected a little overclocking headroom but I guess that's what you get for £35 RAM.
