This was an addition to an existing system and works well in my Raid.
As you can gather I have bought these previously.

Used one before on my home NAS, which runs 24x7.
Good balance between capacity, value, investment, future-proofing.
Bought a couple of these for a new NAS system built around the WD 'My Cloud EX4100' for my cousin.
Easy set up, low noise, reliable product.

I tried consumer disks in my NAS box (Synology) but they gave errors after a year or so. These ones don't.

Best drives I've bought, service from scan was good as always.
They were the only firm advertising Nasware 3 so thats why they got my business.

Installed 2 of these into a Synology DS214 play, no problems everything working as expected only time will tell if reliable.
Could be a bit cheaper in comparison to some (normal drives) these drive are labelled as NAS specific, but who knows if they are any different to non NAS drives.
Anyway they work fine so all good.

I was a little skeptical at first, but after install 4 of these HDDs into a Synology 411+II I'm glad that I brought them.
They run on average 2 degrees cooler than the old WS Green drives, that only lasted 2 years. These come with a 3 year warranty, so it's all good :)

Good price, good quality. Temps are slightly lower than my old 1 TB green (read those are very nasty and faulty too). Speed is okish, cannot compare to other 3 TB as i have none. Seems lot faster than my previouse one.
Just make sure u get 2 diffrent batch numbers for double secruity and ur good to go.

Working happily in the RAID 5 array in my server box. Time will tell how the reliability goes, but at least WD have an easy to use portal for registering the drives and raising an RMA if necessary.
