Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reviving an older Motherboard Cant afford a new mobo or PC. Decided to upgrade my Asus P8Z77-V, this 32GB of XMP rated RAM was just what was needed. I also purchased an Asus Nvidia GeForce 2060 Super 8Gb graphics card and a new Creative Sound Blaster Z sound card. ThisRAM was the cheapest I could find of its type, superb Scan delivery etc. as usual.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works as needed worked fine out of the box. I use this 32Gb on a very inexpensive motherbard (MSI G43-gaming). I chose 32Gb because I'm using a VM Workstation debian instane with GNS3 to run 12 service router Virtual Routers. All on Windows 8.1. It's not sexy memory. There's just a lot of it and it works without any problem. Need I write more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small and reliable Corsair are a well respected brand when it comes to the memory department and I wasn't dissapointed with my decision to go from 8GB up to a whopping 32GB, my only complaint is no matter where you shop buying memory is expensive if over 8GB. One thing you need to be aware of is that the bios will set the memory to the lowest speed possible and some boards only have one XMP profile so a little fiddling with bios settings is required to get the memory up to speed.

Are these modules 2Rx8? e.g. 8 or 9 chips on each side should be visible? Thanks

The sides are covered by heatsink cover. These are Dual/Quad modules. 4 x 8 GB

Is this RAM suitable for ASUS P9X79 motherboard, and I7-4820k CPU.

Your mobo chipset is, Intel® X79 Express Chipset. If you check the specs. for this XMP RAM on the Scan site it will tell you which chipsets this is suitable for. I believe it may well be the right RAM for you.
