Icy Dock MobileICY DOCK MB123PK SATA to PATA Mobile Rack, Hot Swap, Dust Cover is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for getting data off old Disks The best part of this unit is that the actual disk enclosures appear identical to the old Pata to Pata enclosures. This makes transferrng Data from an old disc very easy. I have not used the bay yet for any sustained work so no stats as to throughput or reliability. One point worth mentioning, the power to the bay is via a 4 pin MOLEX connector. if the psu in you machine has only SATA power you will need a converter (Scan ref LN27721)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from quick way to use a hot-swap raid array Over time this is the 5th of these drive bays I have fitted to various servers to enable hot-swapping, the fact 3 drives fit into a 2 drive space has advantages. Never had one of these bays fail, the more recent ones use sata power sockets, the older ones used to use Pata/Molex. You do need to mount the individual drives in a caddy, but I have spares of these already.
