Product Overview The ASUS VH242H delivers a Full HD 1080p display on a 23.6" 16:9 widescreen with 1920x1080 resolution. Embedded HDMI simplifies cabling and provides pristine and stunning clarity for multimedia experiences alongside PC, game consoles, Blu-ray disc players etc. Furthermore, built-in hidden stereo speakers and SPDIF audio output enables audio enjoyment together with true to life Full HD visuals.
Advanced video technologies for exceptional visuals on this monitor include ASCR, (ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio), technology and Aspect Control function. ASCR automatically adjusts the luminance of the backlight for better displays according to image contents and improves the contrast ratio to 20000:1 resulting in more realistic depictions during games and movies. Aspect Control function allows users to select a preferred display mode among Full and 4:3 for true to life Full HD 1080p gaming or movie watching without any data loss or image distortion.
Splendid™ Video Intelligence Technology is built upon a colour engine that automatically analyses and determines the nature of the user's current task, thereafter adjusting the display's parameters accordingly to ensure the best possible colour and image fidelity. With 5 pre-set modes (standard, game, scenery, night-view and theatre) of Splendid™ technology users can enjoy optimised colours for various multimedia entertainment scenarios.
The VH242H offers a stylish and user friendly design for modern sophistication. The glare black frame and smooth base design creates a fresh new look for LCD monitors. Convenient key controls provide functional set up in the multi-language OSD and Cable Manager gets rid of tangling cables and wires.
