Product Overview Mirror 80 Minute 52x Printable CD-R (50 Tub)
The word 'CD-R' stands for CD-Recordable. Mirror CD-R contain a layer of photo-sensitive organic polymer dye. When you record a CD-R, a laser is used to heat the dye layer, creating a permanent mark - this process is commonly called 'burning'. These marks alter its reflective properties, as they are not as reflective as the untouched areas. This 'burnin process is irreversible, therefore CD-R discs are WORM (Write Once Read Many). Once a CD-R discs has been recorded, the information cannot be erased making it incorruptible.
