Product Overview The ASUS VK246H delivers Full HD 1080p visual enjoyment together with integrated webcam and HDMI interface. The 16:9 widescreen has a 1920x1080 resolution and is optimised for Full HD 1080p vision, enabling borderless full screen video display. Embedded HDMI simplifies cabling and provides the highest quality video and audio experience.
Real-time video communication is provided through the built-in 1.3M webcam making it easy to conduct face-to-face live conversations with family, friends or online game partners. It features Smart EV (Exposure Value) Control Technology to cleverly compensate for poor lighting conditions and brings good image quality in comparison to that of most consumer stand-alone web cameras. Plug and Play provides easy connection through the USB interface without installing extra drivers. Users can also create their own video clips and slide shows by using the bundled LifeFrame2 software.
Advanced video technologies are included within this monitor for exceptional visuals. ASCR (ASUS Smart Contrast Ratio) Technology automatically adjusts the luminance of the backlight for better displays according to the image contents, and improves the contrast ratio to 20000:1 - resulting in more realistic depictions of night scenes during games or movies. Trace Free Technology delivers 2ms quick response time (gray-to-gray) for smooth video display and gaming without ghosting. Aspect Control function allows users to select a preferred display mode among Full and 4:3 for true-to-life gaming or movie watching without any data loss or image distortion.
Splendid™ Video Intelligence Technology adopts a colour engine to detect activation and usage of video applications and automatically optimises image quality with intelligent colour, brightness, and contrast and sharpness corrections for the best visual results. Splendid™ offers 5 video modes designed for scenery, theatre, gaming, night view and standard images. 3 skin tones of yellowish, natural and reddish add a human touch to videos on PC. Users can see optimised images on screen and select 5 modes via a hotkey.
The VK246H offers a stylish and user-friendly design for modern sophistication. The glossy piano-black and slim frame front bezel exudes a classic style with built-in hidden stereo speakers for multimedia enjoyment.
