Silverstone PS07B Precision Cube PC Case

As the first chassis in the Precision series designed for Micro ATX motherboards, the PS07 has a great balance between size and functionality. It utilizes SilverStone’s vaulted positive pressure design with easily removable filters on both the fans and the power supply to prevent dust build-up. Two front mounted 120mm fans can provide capable cooling for a complete build fully loaded with drives and components. To keep the noise profile low, an independent compartment with isolated intake vent for the power supply was implemented to keep PSU operating at optimal temperature. User-friendly touches such as removable motherboard tray and top lid make installation in such small chassis a breeze.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart looking, high quality and versatile Micro-ATX case High quality, versatile case having a number of features to make a smart and easy job of building a PC, such as removable side and top panels, and removable motherboard tray. The PSU can be mounted with fan up or fan down. There are plenty of bridges for attaching cable ties so a very neat cabling solution can be achieved. The case comes with two 120mm fans with a dust filter at the front, however my PC is not a high spec and does not need this level of cooling so I removed these and replaced them with a single 120mm Corsair PWM controlled fan at the rear of the case for quietness. Note that the fans that come with the case are not PWM controlled and have 3 pin connectors. Very pleased with the end result.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worse IT buying decision ever I was stupid enough to buy 2 of these (not from scan) for a job, in the mistaken belief Silverstone were a high quality brand. One case arrived with a huge dent in the top. Both the replacement and the second case, the screws were mullered, 3 out of 4 being cross threaded or bent. The layout inside the case is horrible. The internal drive bay chassis is mounted asymmetrically on the bottom of the main chassis, making it impossible to mount an SSD. In the end, I ripped out the internal bays and used one of the 5.25" device trays. Which brings me to the plastic 3.5" adapter rails. If you can find some self tappers which fit the pre-drilled pilot holes, you are still left with a wobbly and misaligned device. The fans are not noisy but neither are they quiet. They are the typical cheap Chinese fodder, with a nice badge on them. 3 months after purchase, one of the fans has failed. I can only imagine the other reviewers have never seen a quality case, because this, even considering the affordable price, really isn't one of them. Back to Fractal Design and Corsair, I go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good case, lots of space & options The case looks good and seems to be of a high quality. It was easy to take apart to fit all the required pieces in, it also had a lot of options regarding the HDD, DVD drive bays. I had no trouble mounting the motherboard onto the detachable plate and fitting it back together. There is always a little bit of a squeeze when fitting the last of the cables but overall I was impressed.
